When the organic acids in the anaerobic digestion (AD) system are high, the activity of methane bacteria will be inhibited, resulting in a decrease in methane production and concentration. If left unchecked, the organic acids will further increase, which may ultimately lead to the death of methane bacteria in the anaerobic tank, causing acidification and odor of the slurry, resulting in serious production problems.
Moderate addition of bio-additives can improve and enhance the metabolic pathways of anaerobic bacteria towards organic acids, enhance their metabolic activity, accelerate the decomposition of organic acids, thereby achieving rapid reduction of organic acids and rapid recovery of AD biological systems.
