1 Technology introduction

Technology Overview

The main function of sand removal system is to remove heavy particles in slurry of different solid contents, such as shells, glass, porcelain, sand, metal, etc. The system is widely used in biogas industry. If these heavy substances enter into biogas digestor, they will be accumulated in the bottom of the tank, resulting the effective volume of the tank will be reduced, and equipment like pumps and pipes will be abraded; in addition, the anti-corrosion layer of tank layer will be worn, thus the life time and the safety will be reduced.
The sand removal system includes hydro-cyclone, buffer tank, circulation pump, and supporting systems such as pipe valves and meters. It mainly separates heavy substances from slurry with the principle of cyclone. After collection, the separated sand will be transferred by screw.

• The discharge pump is suitable for conveying viscous materials of high solid content with stable transport, even flow rate and small vibration.
• A sand box is installed in front of the circulating pump to remove metal particles from the materials, reduce abrasion on the pump and piping, and extend service life.
