Product Description
Working principle of self-limiting electric heat tracing tape: PTC polymer conductive plastic is filled between two parallel wires as the core tape, in which polymer plastic is the matrix material and plays the role of skeleton and filler carrier, and inorganic conductor filler is the current carrier to form a connected conductive network in the insulator and play the role of current channel. When the power supply is turned on, the current passes through one of the wires and is brought to the other through the core.
On the line, a loop is formed, and the core belt heats up after being electrified to compensate the heat loss of the pipeline. When the temperature rises, this conductive plastic expands when heated, which makes part of the current channel network gradually disconnected, and the passing current reduces the calorific value. When the temperature rises to a certain range, the current channel in the conductive plastic is almost open due to thermal expansion, and the power supply of the electric tracing belt is cut off. However, when the temperature drops, the core belt shrinks, the current channel is reconnected, and the electric tracing belt begins to supply heat again. This is the principle of automatic temperature regulation by the self-limiting electric tracing belt.
